The Division of Pediatric Acute Care Practitioners at
The University of Texas Medical School at Houston

The Division of Pediatric Acute Care Practitioners is a group of pediatric nurse practitioners who are educated to care for pediatric trauma, surgical, and critical care patients and their families. Our division collaborates with nationally renowned pediatric surgeons who practice at Childrens Memorial Hermann Hospital, the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in the region. Our purpose is to provide acutely ill and injured children with the most advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate research-based medical care available. In order to achieve our goal, we efficiently utilize available hospital and community resources, incorporate treatment standards which meet or exceed the national standards of care, and employ practitioners who have a passion for excellence in care.
