A multi-specialty team whose primary goal is the treatment of patients with cleft and craniofacial deformities.
Computer Imaging:
Transferring the idea of virtual reality from a computer game to a vital tool for surgical procedures is a result of collaborative efforts by James Xia, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the UT Dental Branch at Houston and pediatric plastic surgery at the UT Medical School at Houston; Jaime Gateno, D.D.S., M.D., assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Dental Branch; and John Teichgraeber, M.D., professor of pediatric plastic surgery at the Medical School.
