James E. Baumgartner, MD

Dr. Baumgartner is a pediatric neurosurgeon associated with Pediatric Neurosurgical Specialists, an affiliate of Memorial Hermann. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine, he also has a master’s degree in pharmacology from Cambridge University. He completed his neurosurgery residency and fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Baumgartner is board certified in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and has a special interest in neural tumors, craniofacial anomalies and the surgical treatment of epilepsy.
